The Art of Travel

Client: 4mnfunction
Category: UI/UX, Identity

Aria Bard makes smart, stylish handbags inspired by traditional Japanese Origami Design. These handcrafted bags are specifically designed for the fashionable traveler. Unfolded, the bag lays flat and takes up minimal space when packed, making it perfect for travel.

Challenge

Create design mockups and Figma prototype focused on e-commerce. The UI and UX should be translatable to a Shopify website. The visual design must be modern and “high-end” and support the premium price of the product. I was also asked to create a new logo for “Aria Bard” as they plan to change the name from “4mnfunction”.

Themes

Fashion-forward, posh yet practical, high-end customer experience.

Process

Discovery and Definition

We conducted interviews with a small sampling of potential Aria Bard customers. I then used the insights from these interviews to create a customer persona, journey map, and preliminary sitemap.

Wireframes

Preliminary wireframe layouts were developed in order to determine what interface elements will exist on key pages.

Design Elements

Overview of brand, design, and UI elements used in the visual design and prototyping stage. A new logo was designed for “Aria Bard” as part of a potential rebrand. UI elements are optimized to comply with WCAG accessibility standards.

Mockups

High-fidelity mockups were designed for four primary page types. These pages represent the primary stages in the customer journey.
